Press 2022 Flying Piston Benefit Breakfast Buffalo Chip, SD
(June 28, 2022) – The 8th annual Flying Piston Benefit Breakfast, presented by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys, is set to kick off the Sturgis Rally at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip CrossRoads with fun, friends and fundraising for new rider initiatives.
This celebrity-strewn Meet & Greet held Sunday, August 7th, brings together custom builders and industry influencers to support veterans and aid rider training through Motorcycle Missions and AllKidsBike.
Also featured: the unveiling of the 2022 Tiny Strider Customs!
In 2018, when the Breakfast added the feature of Tiny Custom Strider Bikes built by renowned builders, it caught industry attention all the way to the prominent Mecum Auction in Las Vegas.
Plucked from a waiting list of builders who want to participate, the 2022 Class includes: Zach Ness, Cabana Dan Rognsvoog, Rodney Smith, Arlin Fatland, SPacEY, and Greg “Edge” Scheuer.
Stock Strider Bikes were sent to the Builders by Strider Sports International, manufacturer of balance bikes that inspire kids to ride. The resulting customs will be unveiled at the Flying Piston Breakfast and displayed at the Biker Belles Celebration and Sturgis Motorcycle
Museum Hall of Fame induction during rally week.
In addition to an exclusive first look at the Strider Customs, attendees will meet the 2022 Featured Builder Billy Lane of Choppers, Inc. and 2022 Featured Artist Darren McKeag of McKeag Art. Both will be present to sign hero cards and talk with fans and friends along with the Chip’s owner Rod “Woody” Woodruff, photographer Michael Lichter, and the builders from the prestigious Motorcycles As Art exhibition. Breakfast ticket holders also enjoy a catered breakfast and viewing of the items in a silent auction of gearhead artwork, hosted online at the Qtego auction platform.
The Flying Piston Auction this year includes a collection of one-off original skate deck art, plus hand-painted flasks and stainless Big Frig mugs – all painted by known and emerging artists and each one unique. You don’t want to miss this and thanks to online bidding, no one will!
The Builder Breakfast, organized by The Flying Piston Benefit, takes place Sunday, August 7th in the Big Engine Bar at the free-access CrossRoads at the Buffalo Chip. Sponsors include the Sturgis Buffalo Chip, Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys, Strider, and Baker Drivetrain.
