Brian Klock grew up in Emery, South Dakota and was influenced at an early age by his father’s love of cars and motorcycles. He took his first trip to Sturgis in 1976 at the age of 10 with his dad.

In 1990, Brian built a purple FXR that achieved national notice. Looking at the FXR in Sturgis that year, Willie G. Davidson told Brian that he, “Might have a future in this business.” Soon friends began calling asking Brian to lend his imaginative eye and creativity to their bikes.

In 1997 Brian opened the first Klock Werks location in his mentor John Patton’s garage in Mitchell, SD. Before long he became known as one of the industry’s most diverse and award-winning builders. His early vision and custom work made bagger-style motorcycles hip and cool.

In their quest to stay on the cutting edge of design, the team built a bagger for the Discovery Channel Biker Build-Off in 2007. The bike won the build-off and weeks later was at the famed Bonneville Salt Flats where it set a Land Speed Record as the World’s Fastest Bagger.

Brian and his team recently partnered with Jack Daniel’s and Indian Motorcycles to design a series of Limited-Edition Indians. In 2012 Brian was inducted into the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum Hall of Fame and he has received numerous state and local awards. Today the Klock Werks team designs and builds motorcycles and an ever-growing line of custom parts at a 7,000 square-foot facility in the heart of Mitchell, SD.
